Scouts and Leaders from 1st Gourock spent the weekend enjoying the best ski conditions for years at Nevis Range. Powdery snow, calm winds and blue skies gave the group of beginners a great environment for learning to ski and snowboard whilst the 'old hands' had a fabulous time developing their skills.
Two days on the slopes left little time for anything else other than some scout banter and R & R to recharge the batteries. Ideal accommodation was provided at The Snowgoose Mountain Centre where the maid service was particularly pleasing to the scouts!
The close up view of the deer on both journeys completed the weekend's excitement with everyone returning home content, intact and eager to do it all again next year. Thanks to Duncan, Bernie and Graham at Footloose for all help and expert tuition.

Congratulations to Andrew and Dominic for winning the Junior Orienteering Competition recently. Twenty-three teams from across the district took part on a cold day at Everton. The boys put in a lot of effort and came away with the trophy. Well done to George, Scott and Ciaran for recording good times as well.
