Group Centenary PDF Print E-mail

The group celebrates its centenary year in 2009!

We'll be running a series of events to celebrate the occasion.

March: Quiz night- 7th March

April: Sponsored Walk

May 31st: District Founders Day parade through the streets of Gourock. Service at Old Gourock & Ashton church.

June 21st: Centenary Fun Day

25th: Groups Birthday (100 years)

September: Group Centenary Camp at Auchengillan Campsite.

Posters have been put up in the hall. Please post up your suggestions for more events.

The 6th Renfrew and Inverclyde were first registered on the 25th June 1909.

CDO?, that refers to Colonel Darrochs Own which is in recognition of the support over the years from the Darroch Family. The first meeting place for the Troop was the stable block of Gourock House which was owned by the Darroch Family, now used by the local art club.
